A Doctor’s Personal Story and Treatment, Could This Be the Miracle Breakthrough for PTSD?

West Palm Beach, Fl - When it comes to trauma and PTSD, stories of suffering and survival are everywhere, on the news, in Facebook groups, across Instagram reels, on LinkedIn articles, and in podcasts on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, Apple and Spotify. But one story is rising above the noise, not only because of the tragedy behind it but also because of the revolutionary hope it carries.

That story belongs to Dr. Eugene Lipov, a board-certified anesthesiologist and trauma expert. He is challenging the way the world understands PTSD, or, as he insists, PTSI (Post-Traumatic Stress Injury). His work introduces a treatment that some are already calling nothing short of a miracle breakthrough.

Dr. Lipov recently shared his journey as a guest on The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast, available free on their website, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and most podcast platforms. Promoted across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Medium, and other outlets, the episode is sparking conversations among trauma survivors, medical professionals, and advocates alike.

A Life Marked by Trauma

Dr. Lipov’s story began in tragedy. While in medical training, he was diving in Mexico when a boat struck him. The accident left him with devastating propeller injuries, and he nearly bled to death.

“I had an out-of-body experience when I was close to death,” he recalled. That moment of hovering between life and death stayed with him and shaped the way he came to view trauma.

Just a year later, tragedy struck again. His mother died by suicide, a loss that left a lasting wound. “The impact of that was life-altering,” Dr. Lipov shared. It was through these deeply personal experiences, and his growing awareness of his own trauma, that he began searching for new answers.

From Personal Loss to Medical Innovation

Instead of being defined by trauma, Dr. Lipov turned it into a driving force for medical discovery. His most notable contribution is the Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB), a nerve block that has earned the nickname “The God Shot.”

Unlike conventional therapies that manage symptoms over time, SGB works by calming the brain’s overactive fight-or-flight response, often within minutes.

“Advanced brain scans show trauma leaves physical scars on the brain,” Dr. Lipov explains. “If it’s a biological injury, it means it can heal.”

The treatment has already changed lives. From Navy SEALs and first responders to survivors of abuse and burnout, patients describe SGB as a near-instant return to calm after years of inner chaos.

The Book That Could Change Everything

Dr. Lipov is bringing his message to a global audience with his upcoming book, The God Shot: Healing Trauma’s Legacy, co-authored with Lauren Ungeldi and set for release on February 17, 2026.

“The era of managing trauma is over,” he writes. “The age of hope and healing has begun.”

The book dismantles the long-standing myth that PTSD is a lifelong condition or a sign of weakness. Instead, Dr. Lipov reframes it as an injury, one that can be treated and healed.

His earlier works, The Invisible Machine and Exit Strategy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, also showcase how SGB could revolutionize trauma care, blending hard science with real-life stories of recovery.

Beyond Medicine: A Cultural Shift

Dr. Lipov’s advocacy doesn’t stop with research and books. He collaborated on It’s PTSI, a poetic musical project with award-winning artist Chase Bell. Alongside Jen Satterly, CEO of the All Secure Foundation, the project reframes trauma as something that can heal instead of a permanent scar.

The All Secure Foundation, co-founded by Jen and her husband, retired Special Operations warrior Tom Satterly, provides resources for combat veterans and their families. Through retreats, workshops, and support programs, the foundation helps warriors move from Post-Traumatic Stress to Post-Traumatic Growth—an effort that aligns perfectly with Dr. Lipov’s mission.

Could This Be the Miracle Breakthrough?

For decades, trauma survivors have been told that PTSD is a life sentence. Dr. Lipov’s work challenges that belief. By showing that trauma is a biological injury that can heal, he offers survivors a kind of hope that was once unimaginable.

His personal journey, surviving near-death, losing his mother, and facing his own trauma—fuels his determination to make sure others don’t suffer in silence. And with The God Shot poised for release, along with his message amplified through The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast, the world may be on the edge of a profound shift in how it understands and treats trauma.

As Dr. Lipov’s story spreads across news outlets, social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, and podcasts on Apple and Spotify, one question lingers in the minds of many:

Could this be the miracle breakthrough for PTSD?
